BIO THERAPUETIC SENT US A BT-SONIC AND ITS AWESOME!

Over the last decade I have brought and tried a plethora of pro beauty products some I love and some are not even worth mentioning! I am pretty clear on what I love so its a lot of  fun sharing my current obsessions on our platform. My latest ABSOLUTE MUST for estheticians is the bt-sonic, if your ready to step up your cleansing game and spice up your retail offerings read on for the details on this product!

THE LOW DOWN

The  bt-sonic is a facial cleansing brush for pro and at home use. It has a silicone head that is anti-microbrial and anti-bacterial thereby eliminating the need for replacement heads since the environment is not conducive for bacteria. The device is battery operated and comes with a handy pouch for storage and costs around $100 bucks.

FACE OFF: BT SONIC vs. MANUAL CLEANSING & THE BRISTLES

While there are several methods to cleansing the skin the bt-sonic easily separates itself from the pack and here’s you play by play on how:

BT-SONIC  vs. MANUAL CLEANSING & WASHCLOTHS

Manual cleasing and washcloths are the easiest of cleansing methods but the two often leave residue and other nasties on the skin. The bt-sonic offers a 6-8 more times effective cleanse then manual cleansing due to the small nodules on the device that allow it to get into the smaller crevices of the skin. Its triangular tip is also allows the device to fit into hard to reach places.

BT-SONIC vs. THE “BRISTLES”

One of our fave estheticians Renee Rouleau really drove home the pitfalls of using rotating bristle type brushes like the Clarasonic in her 2010 article Is The Clarisonic Brush Harmful Or Helpful To The Skin? In her article she highlights the unhealthy changes she observed from her clients using the Clarasonic and devices like it problems such as irritation and over exfoliation were both observed.  While she is careful to note that some of the same reactions can occur with sonic brushes professionally I am more comfortable with the cleansing action of sonic brushes like the bt-sonic.

The cost factor is another reason I am obsessed. Replacement brush heads for devices like the Clarasonic  can run up to $27.00 per individual unit and can add up very quickly.  With the bt-sonic since the silicone head is silver-ion infused it is not necessary to replace it and skin care professionals can clean it with a professional grade disinfectant wipe, like Opti-Cide wipes. The bt-sonic is also less expensive then other leading sonic brushes which range in price from $99-6,500.

WHAT HAPPENED WHEN WE USED IT

When we used the bt-sonic we dampened our models face with water and cleanser,we then went over each area of her face and cleansed for about 2 minutes.  Remember sonic cleansing can still act as a means of exfoliation and overdoing it can heighten sensitivity to peels and other products you may use later in your treatment so don’t overdo it. We completed our entire treatment with the bt-cocktail, another product we love from Bio Therapeutics. Our models skin looked super dope and made us believers in this product!

KICK ASS RETAIL MOVE

Since all skin types are suitable for the bt sonic adding it to you retail collection along with the bt cocktail is an excellent retail move. It will very likely allow clients to receive greater benefits from their subsequent skincare solutions as a result of using it regularly.

XOXO
